When the app first launches you are required to login. A first name, last name and email are required to setup a login account. Each golf course has PinPoint administrators who manage the accounts for the course. If you have forgotten your login username or password tap the “Forgot username\password” link.
Enter the email address associated with your login and tap “Reset.” An email will be sent that contains your account information and a link to reset your password. If there is no account associated with the email, and error message is displayed.
Golf Courses typically divide the holes into sets or named courses like Front nine, Back nine, or The Hollows. Use the SELECT HOLES field to choose the set of holes to view.
To begin the process of setting the hole location tap the individual hole that is being changed.
Tapping on a hole from the Select Hole page will bring up the Hole Details page. This page displays the current latitude\longitude of the hole. It also identifies when and who last modified the location.
Prior to saving a new hole location make sure the GPS is calibrated to provide an accurate reading. If you’re using an external Bluetooth GPS, make sure it is turned on several minutes prior to the first reading. If you’re using the GPS within a phone, do a sample GPS reading without saving to ensure the GPS is calibrated. The application attempts to determine the GPS accuracy and will not allow setting the location if the accuracy is questionable.
Hold the GPS\Phone directly over the flag and keep steady. Tap the Find GPS Position button. Keep over the hole until the reading is complete. If the reading is accurate, tap Save Pin Location.
